In an attempt to calm my neurotic brain and my hyper activity I have set aside a few hours for
pure relaxation and enjoyment. Granted I could relive all my past google searches and torrent downloads and create my famous "masturbation hut", today is not the day.
Today is a day for enjoyment, non sexy... although the hut does call. Its also beginning to get cold outside, there is snow on the streets and my parka can only warm my texas blood so much.
My new collection of estate pipes are begging to be lit and used, so
I might as well get to it. After a nice cleaning they are ready to be used. A sidenote on used things...There is a mystery and some weird possible history to those items that fascinates me. Basically, I'm a boring person and I would rather make up some elaborate story about the previous owner then live my own life. Oh well. So the previous pipe owner was a sailor (as indicated by the nautical themed mugs and ashtrays). When he died his pipe collection was packed up in a box and sold to a hi bidder... me. I now will carry on his sailing tradition and his love of his tobacco pipes. So on another side note, I'm looking for a nice 22-26 foot boat that I can sail to work and live on. Nat Sherman tobacco is my new favorite. fill bowl, light, stoke, light and enjoy. Thanks estate pipes for expanding my pipe collection to 22 instead of 1. 
Speaking of old things that may or may not have historical value, I found this great Neil Diamond LP in mint condition that I hadn't seen before... I love some old neil diamond, the production and his cracking voice put me at ease in some weird way... I can
see why old ladies love him. He's like a nice aged whiskey that sings pop songs inside your stomach and heart. This album is what sparked my smoking vinyl day. The album is all covers, but dear lord who cares? His version of "Both Sides Now" is brilliant. I love that song, only by him of course... I have yet to hear the Joni Mitchell version or the countless others. Its like a little romantic comedy turned into a pop song, just add some Drew Barrymore or Jennifer Aniston and we are gold! Other songs are: "Mr. Bojangles" , "He ain't Heavy", "Everybody's Talkin'" (although I sorta love Nilsson's version, there is something nice about the Diamond doing it) ... so basically Neil recaps the great songs of the 70's and puts them all on one album for you. And by the way, it's Neil Fucking Diamond.
It's not all about masturbation huts, Diamonds and sequins... I also now have my favorite Guess Who song, "No Sugar Tonight" on vinyl... so thats nice. Im glad Lenny Kravitz didnt cover that song. God only knows what he would of done to it. "No Sugar Tonight" is this little precious gem that will always have a place in my heart.
